Why we are building this
Most working musicians own more gear than they use and use more gear than they own. The same is true of time. The market that would fix that already exists, it just runs on group chats.
The problem is trust, not listings
Anybody can build a page with an amp on it. What nobody has built is the part that makes a stranger hand over a vintage bass: a record of who turned up, a way to prove the serial number is not on a stolen register, a photograph of the dent that was already there, and somewhere to stand when it goes wrong.
That is the whole product. The browsing is the easy half.
What we will not do
We will not publish your address. Gear is shown as an approximate circle. The exact pickup point goes to one person, once, after a booking is confirmed.
We will not turn a profile into a scoreboard. How complete your profile is, is shown to you and to nobody else. Nudging you is fair. Ranking you on it is not.
We will not make the safe choice the expensive one. Verification steps unlock things rather than gating you out, and every protection we offer sits on top of your own cover, not instead of it.
Who it is for
Working players and the people who own the backline they borrow. Function bands, deps, session players, the person with a garage full of valve amps, the small PA company that is quiet on Tuesdays. If you have ever driven an hour to borrow a cymbal stand, it is for you.
Tell us if we have got it wrong
We would rather hear it now than after we have built it. Write to us.
